Rose Cut Bandeau

This tiara appears to be a favorite of Maxima’s. The Queen first wore the bandeau in May 2005 for a dinner gala during an Official Visit from the Canadian Governor-General. She wore it twice in June 2006, during the King of Thailand’s 60th Jubilee Celebration and for the State Visit to Belgium. She wore it again in 2007 for the German State Visit and then in 2009 for the Chilean State Visit. She wore the bandeau again for Crown Princess Victoria’s wedding in June 2010, then in April 2011 for the State Visit to Germany, and again in April 2012 during the State Visit from Turkey. She wore it twice in 2013, during the State Visit to Brunei in January 2013 and finally for the dinner gala to say goodbye to Queen Beatrix in April 2013.

Crown Princess Mary loses her shoe at her arrival to Amalienborg Palace.

I seriously always wonder how royal women wear super high heels on European cobblestone streets and keep their balance. I can barely wear flats without running into walls or falling over. :P
